About me Hi, I'm Mary Ellen. Nice to meet you. I was born twenty-some years ago (January 3, 1973 to be exact) in Illinois. I moved to Boston for school in 1992, and have just sort of stuck around ever since. I went to Emerson College, got a degree in print journalism, and then prompty decided I'd rather chew glass than be a reporter. I worked at a crappy job for a while, making photocopies and being bitter, until I got a job in a library at one of the local colleges. I'm in school part-time, working on getting a Master's in Library Science (because librarians know everything.Knowledge is power, baby.) I'm recently divorced (it's a good thing) and live with my cat and an occasional roommate (hi, Patrick!) in a snug little apartment north of Boston. I watch too much TV, when I don't have my nose in a book. I'm an email junkie, so send me some. And I look like this, on a good day:
